Outbid Partners

Your audience is full of operators. Get paid every month they're on the board.

Outbid pays you 25% of every rank payment your referrals make — not for twelve months, for as long as they stay. Refer ten operators and you haven't earned a commission; you've built an income that keeps arriving after you've stopped thinking about it.

Illustrative. You earn 25% of what each referred operator actually pays for their rank, every month they hold one — so this rises if they bid up and stops if they leave. Not a guarantee of earnings.

Why this one actually converts

You're not asking them to spend. You're showing them how to grow.

Every other tool you could promote is a cost line your readers have to justify. A rank on the leaderboard is a growth channel with a subscriber number attached — the one thing every operator you know is actively hunting for. That difference is the entire reason this converts where software affiliate links don't.

Promoting most tools

“Here's another expense.”

  • Your reader has to believe a promise about the future
  • Commission stops after twelve months
  • You get paid once, then start over
  • Churn quietly kills the income you built

Promoting Outbid

“Here's subscribers.”

  • Your reader sees a rank and a subscriber count, not a promise
  • Your share never expires
  • Every month they stay, you get paid again
  • Operators who bid up pay you more without you lifting a finger

How it works

Three steps, and only one of them is work.

01

Take your link

You get a link with your own code and a dashboard showing every referral, what they're paying, and what you've earned. Anyone arriving through it stays yours for 90 days.

02

Send it once

One mention in an issue, one post in a beehiiv or Kit community, one line in your footer. You are recommending a growth channel to people who spend their week looking for one.

03

Get paid, and keep getting paid

25% of their rank payment lands in your balance every month they hold a rank, paid out monthly above $50. Nothing to renew, nothing that expires.

The fine print, unfined

Everything that would normally be in a footnote.

A lifetime rev share is only worth something if the terms around it are boring. Here they are in full.

Straight answers

The things you were about to ask.

25% of what each operator you refer actually pays for their rank, every month they hold one. If they bid $1,200 you earn $300 that month. If they bid up to $2,000 next month, you earn $500. There is no cap and no end date — the share runs for as long as they stay on the board.

It really doesn't. Most affiliate programmes pay for twelve months and then quietly stop; this one doesn't have that clause. The reasoning is simple — the operator you introduced is on the board because of you, and they keep being on it because of you. Referrals stop paying only when the operator stops holding a rank.

Anyone whose audience contains newsletter operators. That is most people running a newsletter about newsletters, creator economy, marketing, or solo business — and most people active in the beehiiv, Kit, Substack and Ghost communities. You are not pitching a cost; you are pitching a growth channel, which is a much easier message to send.

You get a link with your own code. Anyone who arrives through it stays attributed to you for 90 days, so you still get credit when someone reads your issue on Tuesday and signs up a month later. The code is also accepted at signup for people who came to you by word of mouth.

Monthly, once your balance clears $50 — paid out of the same cycle your referrals are charged in, not sixty days later. You will see every referral, what they are paying and what you earned in a dashboard.

No on the first, yes on the second. Self-referral on the same account doesn't pay — that's just a discount with extra steps. A genuinely separate newsletter you also operate is fine, and plenty of partners start there.

Founding partners get the first operators.

The board opens with a limited set of ranks, and the partners who bring those first operators keep earning from them for as long as they stay.
